My prayers were answered during lunch on my first day in Manila. My dad hooked me up with my favorite filipino dish, pinakbet. I love the blend of veggies: squash, green beans, onions and bitter melon.
They also fried some lapu lapu and created a concoction of salty eggs and tomato...which hit the spot when served over fresh steam rice!
I ended the meal with some fresh papaya.
