philippines day#7 - bodhi veggie foodhouse

The next day we drove up to Baguio City to visit more relatives. We stopped by SM Baguio to grab some lunch and check out the view of the city. I love Baguio because the weather is so cool that you don't need AC to be comfortable. We got to the mall about 15 minute before all the stores opened, so I decided to scan the food court for my next meal. As soon as I saw its sign I started to salivate in anticipation of a good healthy meal:

Sure enough my cousin and I ordered up a storm of goodies. The menu was 100% vegetarian and served Filipino dishes with soy protein. We ordered some chicken curry, beef steak, coconut tofu, chicken with bamboo shoots, chicken adobo, pancit, and of course my fave: pinakbet.

Here's what my plate looked like:

As if that wasn't enough food...I even went next door and ordered a side portion of laing (toro leaves sauteed in coconut milk and chili).

As my aunt predicted, we didn't finish all our food. Our eyes were waaaay to big for our stomachs. So we asked for boxes to take our left overs home. To our surprise they said they didn't have any boxes, instead they had bags. Filipino doggy bag...gotta love it ;o)
