freeport foodie day #1

For Christmas the BF surprised me with a trip to the Bahamas for the New Year. We were anxious to bask in the Bahamian sun and forget about the freezing rain and 20 degree weather back home. Fortunately we landed in Freeport just in time to see this from our balcony.



We hit the after deck bar as soon as we finished checking into our hotel and got to the beerz-niz.

Sands is where it's at! It tastes like a cold crisp bud light :p



After our beers we walked over to Zorba's for lunch. We ordered the calamari with a "K" as an appetizer to share.

I ordered the seafood platter (conch fritters, fried grouper, lobster, shrimp, and veggies)



After all that fried food and few more beers we headed to the beach to "walk it off", but ended up hanging out on beach chairs that lead us into food coma. We woke up to this view and realized we only had a few hours of 2009 left and was about to head into a new decade.



We decided to hit up Agave for our last meal of oh nine.



I couldn't decide between strawberry and pina colada, so I got both via Miami Vice!

After dinner we walked into the town square to party with the other tourist and locals.
