I always travel to Virginia Beach for the holidays, because that's where family is. I'm fortunate enough to have a cool boss man who allowed me to telecommute from VB in order to spend the whole week of Christmas at home. There's something about being home for a week that puts me in vacay mode. Maybe it's the chill vibe the area brings, the mulitiple names/faces I recognize when I'm at any local spot, or the familiarity I have with the backroads, highways, and byways. Being home just feels....
good! And the positive vibes are even higher when you're surrounded by your family and good food :p Sometimes I feel bad that I have such "OA" dietary requirements, but my aunt never lets me down with her Christmas spread. My cousin let me use her fisheye lens to capture my faves of the night.
Mini Shrimp Tempura
Butter Garlic Asparagus
Shrimp Cocktail
Homemade Funfetti Cupcakes (not the lechon!)
Peacan Tarts (not the HenRock lol)
Fresh Cherries + Grapes
Fresh Veggie Lumpia :p
i digg the spread. mmmm. *mouth watering*
