hook for brunch

Sunday's weather was perfect for a walk through DC and brunch. After a two hour walking tour to witness the beauty of the cherry blossoms, I was ready to eat.

We finally made it to Hook after battling through traffic, but it was worth it. Voted as one of DC's best places to have brunch, Hook serves an excellent selection of seafood for lunch, brunch and dinner. I ordered the eggs benedict (served on top of smoked salmon, arugula, and a french baguette) and the pancakes with ginger butter (substitute sausage with roasted potatoes).

The food tasted as good as it looked and the prices were decent. I really liked the decor of the restaurant, which is contemporary and inviting. If you're ever in Georgetown around brunch time, it would be worth your while to grab a bite at Hook.
