guacamole en molcajete

Rosa Mexicano was one of the first DC restaurants I fell in love with, since it was located around the corner from my office in Penn Quarter. Prepared in front of your table, the guacamole alone is a good enough reason to eat at this modern Mexican restaurant.

The mixture of ripe avocados, fresh cilantro, tomatoes, and jalapenos is super delicious on top of a corn tortilla.

I think the secret to great guacamole is to make it in a molcajete, at least that's what the recipe calls for.
