philippines day #4 - tagaytay

My mom woke me up waaaay too early to get ready for our road trip to Tagaytay to check out the smallest volcano in the world. Even at 6am the sun was blazing, so I was not looking forward to walking around tourist style. I'm glad I sucked it up, because the volcano was actually pretty cool looking. We hit up the Pancake House for lunch.

I ordered a shitake mushroom salad with some kind of white fish. My mom convinced me to try the salad because Tagaytay is supposed to be known for that fish, and of course I can't remember the name of it. Anyway, I also ordered the blueberry pancakes and a coke light.

The best part of the meal (besides the coke light) was the calamansi vinaigrette that came with the salad. The pancakes were a total waste of carbs.

The rest of the day was spent exploring the city of Tagaytay, which included walking up a mountain that had a statue of Jesus at the very top. I would not have been able to survive the heat without my fave: ube ice cream.

Are we at the top yet?

Hallelujah!
