tristate fall break

I love my cousin Jill. Not only is she a fellow pescatarian, she's also my official "taste bud". We eat like a team in order to maximize the flavors of any menu. Our days are always spontaneous adventures with a side of good eats and a handful of laughs. This weekend Jill was on fall break from ODU, so we mapped out a tristate adventure to get the most of her days off. We kicked off our weekend in NY... the city of sample sales, bowls of fun, and itty bitty cupcakes.

Yummylicious tomato soup at Bread.

Yes, it was that good! Each spoonful of soup tasted like a bite of a fresh juicy red tomato.

After lunch we picked up some mini cupcakes baked by Melissa and enjoyed them on stoop around the corner. It was love at first bite!

I finally got my 'smore fix!

By the time we were ready to hit up another neighborhood it was already time to catch our bus to Atlantic City. Two hours and a few neck cramps later, we arrived at the Borgata anxious for dinner at Bobby Flay.

I only have two words for dinner: spot hitter. And even though we were 'unbutton your pants' full from dinner, we still managed to hit up Ben & Jerry's to savor some pumpkin cheesecake ice cream. Yes, we're fat like that, plus we had to take advantage of the pumpkin flavor before it goes out of season.
